Dies ist der zweite Band unserer Trilogie, in der wir die abwechslungsreichen Stile der Bahnhöfe der weltberühmten Londoner U-Bahn präsentieren. In diesem Band sind alle Stationen von vier "Tube"-Linien enthalten, d.h. jener Linien, die durch die Innenstadt in tiefliegenden Röhren verlaufen: die Central Line, die Waterloo & City Line, die Bakerloo Line sowie die Jubilee Line. Das Buch beginnt mit einer kurzen Beschreibung des "Tube"-Netzes und seiner Entwicklung. Danach folgt eine Fahrt entlang jeder Linie, wobei alle Stationen in Farbe präsentiert werden, von den fahrgaststarken zentralen Umsteigebahnhöfen im Zentrum von London bis zu den ruhigen Vorortbahnhöfen, mit kurzen Texten über die Geschichte und die Gestaltung jeder Station. Am Ende findet der Leser detaillierte Karten, die diese Linien im Kontext des gesamten Bahnnetzes im Großraum London zeigen. Die übrigen "Tube"-Linien werden in einem dritten Band behandelt. // This is the second volume of our trilogy exploring the many fascinating styles of station to be found on the world-famous London Underground network. It covers all the stations of four 'tube' lines - the Central, Waterloo & City, Bakerloo and Jubilee Lines. The book starts with a brief description of the 'tube' network and its development and then takes a ride along each line in turn, illustrating all stations in full colour, from busy central London interchanges to quiet suburban stations, with short captions about each station's history and design. At the end of the book, the reader will find detailed maps showing these lines in the context of the Greater London rail network. A third volume will cover the stations of the remaining 'tube' lines.
